David Shih is an executive creative and brand leader who believes the best ideas earn their place by solving real business problems.
Over the course of his career, he has led creative work for brands including Samsung, Jeep, Sony, Chrysler, Jim Beam, and Sprint, spanning digital, traditional, and integrated platforms. His work has been recognized by Cannes, the Effies, Communication Arts, the Clios, the London International Advertising Awards, and the Kelly Awards.
David’s approach blends strategy, data, and human insight to create ideas that work seamlessly across channels. That philosophy has helped deliver results at scale, including a digital out-of-home campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S3, part of the largest launch in Samsung’s history. The work earned an Effie and was featured in The New York Times, Wired, Mashable, and Contagious.
His career includes creative leadership roles at Second Nature, DDB Chicago, Epsilon, Razorfish, and Bagby & Company, along with experience across networks such as Goodby, Digitas, BBDO Detroit, Hal Riney Chicago, WPP, Leo Burnett, Team Detroit, Havas, and FCB. Today, he brings that agency foundation to in-house and advisory roles, partnering with leadership teams to turn strategy into creative that drives clarity, differentiation, and growth.
